Train for Trees

Remember that race I said I was going to do in January? The thirty-nine miler over two days in Disney? Well it is still on and am still (probably crazy) going to do it. I’ve been trying to work with a local charity to arrange a donation page for folks to sponsor me over the last several weeks – to no avail. So, instead, I decided to turn my attention toward good ‘ol Mother Earth. The Nature Conservancy is running a program called “Plant A Billion Trees” ( in which they intend to do just that. Here’s the best part: they offer a way for individuals to have their own donation fund pages! So my intent is to use this run to sponsor the planting of one-thousand trees. Please help me get the word out: $1 = 1 Tree. I’m working on a logo (because that’s what I do). Please consider donating! Here’s the link to my donation page on the Nature Conservancy site:

  1. Hey Reese,

Awesome job at staying dedicated to the thirty-nine miler! I know what it’s like to signup for an event and instantly think, “oh crap, what did I get myself into!”

But! That usually fades away after I realize that I’m running/biking/whatever for a great cause.

I definitely like what you’re putting out on Sneaker Sagas. Particularly your candid approach to… well everything!

I JUST started a blog Train, Give, Live! was wondering if you’d mind if I shared some of the content that you’re putting out, onto Train, Give, LIVE! I think the guys at my blog and TimmyG Fan Page would get a lot out of it.

Thanks and keep putting out great content.

    Carpe Diem!
